Cyra ~ Some Fun Projects

I've managed to get quite a bit of stitching done on some fun projects over the week, so here are my current project photos.

Completed Band 1 of the Embroidery Sampler.
The blue and purple are the additions this week.

And a childs cheerful crochet Beanie Beret of my own design.

Also, a little update on the Party At My Place Quilt. Two more 'building blocks' added.

And some progress on a baby blanket that somebody else made, but I am repairing and joining the remaining circles.

So that was my stitchery week.
I have a lovely variety of projects still on the go.
I have a quilt wall hanging to finish off over the next few weeks, and the white circles baby blanket must get finished soon too, as the new baby it is for is due in October.

Hope you all have a great week ahead.
Happy Stitching

Love the cross-stitch sampler and how it looks. That will be a beautiful piece when finished.

And how great to repair/finish the white circles baby blanket. It will be a treasure when done.

The recipient is going to love her circle blanket! What a lovely surprise. The cross-stitching looks good, and that beanie is adorable! Your quilt is growing........

Beautiful cross stitching! I love the colorful beanie, too, and also the blankie. I bet that blankie gets lots of loving!

What fun projects and a nice variety. Sometimes I get bored with doing the same thing over and over so a variety of projects keeps me happy.

That's what I call an eclectic post! Love the embroidery band. Such a pretty background color.

There is a sad story to the circles blanket. The lady who started making it died earlier this year, and the blanket was for her new grandchild due in October. The new parents do not know that I'm completing it for them, and it will probably be a very emotional surprise for them. I am in cahoots with a family member who is not a crocheter and had no idea how to do it herself.
It will not be a perfect blanket (because of the way the circles were started to be put together, and because the circles are not all the same size), but I'm making the best I can with it, and leaving as much of the original blanket intact as I can.
