Angela ~ Very Little

With gardening, ebaying, hauling rocks for the front garden, cooking and washing dishes I didn't get much done.
I have quite a lot of this batik print fabric.  I bought it to make curtains for my house I no longer live in.  So I am using it for other things like the back of my quilt.  I felt like doing some hand sewing so I am piecing the back together by hand.

I plan to hand quilt it as well, without batting for a summer quilt.

I LOVE stitching on batiks! This will make a great backing, and the quilt can be reversible if you are feeling overwhelmed and need something calm to view. =)

That is beautiful fabric! I'd be tempted to embroider on the design........

I hope the batik needles well. I've had some that was too stiff.

It's been washed and so far so good on just sewing a seam by hand, but I have had some that was pretty stiff too.

Yes, the gardens are calling us to 'tend' to them.
