Judy~Two Finishes

Two finishes!

The Little House Shawl (details on Ravelry); it's just the right size for a little girl named Sophia. Shes' going to get a copy of Little House on the Prairie to go with it.

It  was rainy on Saturday, definitely not gardening weather, but  just perfect for working on this quilt block.  Our quilt group is making a joint quilt with lots of appliqued animals. Instead of doing "real" applique, I used Soft Fuse Premium and did some handwork. (Do not use Pellon's new version of Steam-a-Seam 2; I ruined a block with it.  Check the reviews, and you'll see.) Now it's off to wind some yarn. Ciao!  Have a great week.

Sophia is so very lucky to have you in her life. It's a lovely shawl.
Lovely, friendly kitty-cats.

Thanks, Moira. I'm glad it's done and ready to turn in.

Thanks, Cy. Can't decide whether to give to her for her b'day in August or to wait till Christmas....

Interestingly enough for some reason, the colors are more brown than in this photograph. Sophia would like the pictured color much more!

What a great idea to pair the shawl and book for Sophia. That's going to be a special memory for her.

Soft fuse premium, I'll have to look for that. I want to see the quilt when all the blocks are together, please. Love the colors in the shawl.
