Fitzy - Back on track

Hello everyone!

I have SO much catching up to do, I feel like I'm always behind. Common thread, I suppose.

A week at the beach, preceded by huge overtime - and followed by overtime afterward. Sheesh. Our office (7500 employees) is doing a large conversion to ADP from a antique DOS system. Lots of work, lots of training.

I originally had shown pillowcases that I had sewn together from yardage. Wonder when you buy high-count sheets they don't LAST!? Pillowcases are the first to go, dunno, maybe we're just hard on them...or the water...or maybe they just don't like drying in the desert sun? (Not like we leave them outside more than an hour-seriously! Expected to get to 109 today. Anyway, I was able to do about 1/3 of the stitching on our drive to the beach vacation, and worked on it feverishly this past weekend. Since I've realized that I ironed the design upside down, I plan to cut it off and reattach with either a row of sturdy lace, or just put in a folded 3/4" faux piping strip in dark brown. The 2nd idea is more practical, the 1st idea prettier! Opinions please?

Just a little bit left to go, maybe the first one will be done this weekend.
I'm working in a DMC838, using 2 threads.

Hope you all have a stellar week! I'll try to jet back thru the last 3 weeks to see all of your lovelies!

Cool pattern--very Romantic Cowboy. You got a lot done considering how busy you've been.

Unless it really bothers you, I think the design looks fine as is.

Is that design a musical comment? =) How is it upside down? I think either way they faced, it would be just fine. Very pretty embroidery. I can't believe there was anyplace, let alone anyplace that large still using DOS! That's so last century! LOL

I photographed it right side up, but I feel like the design should face you as you approach the open edge of the pillowcase.

I'm in the "fine as is" camp, too! Nice work! Boy, a week at the beach sounds like fun! Can't even imagine 109; it's just here right now.

I like the lace idea myself. I wonder, are you a fan of 'Guns N Roses'? lol.

I used to work at a payday loan place and they still used dos! Geez, what a pain.

What a busy time you've been having lately. Glad to see you have got a bit of stitching done. Looks fine 'as is' to me too.

Pretty design on your pillowcase. Hmmm, if you have to change it right side up, I think the lace would be pretty. Which would be quicker?
