Cy ~ Heart Crazy Quilt ~ Week 10

Straight From The Heart - Crazy Quilt
Week 10

The crochet edging for the Dresden plate center is complete - all 60 inches of it.
Took a while to crochet it and stitch it in place around the 'swags' of the plate.

Another patch embellished with a crochet Mandala/flower.
Love, love, love these colours, lol.

And, now that I have finished the Dresden plate central work, I get to stitch the patches together onto the quilt.
Fun.
No perfection is required for this part. Raw edges to the patches, large stitches, wonky stitching......whatever happens happens.
Just pick up the next patch from the pile and stitch it down somewhere.
An occasional fill-in patch required to cover a blank space.

You might recognize a few of the stitchery patches from earlier this year.

No progress on my Boho skirt this week, but I did get two more parts of the Winter Warmer done.

Guess who's having fun...........

Yes, your patch as patch can quilt is working out splendidly! Do you think those jar blocks from last year might find a place on this quilt?

No Debra, those sarcophagus jars are already on their own quilt. That's another ufo needing attention I think. (one day).

I'm guessing you are! What a lot of variety in your projects. The Dresden looks amazing and I look forward to seeing what it looks like with all the patches. Love that purple bobble stitch, or popcorn, or whatever it's called. =)

Just trying to help you reduce the UFOs! ha!

Wrote a long comment and blogger ate it! argh. Fabulous edging on your dresden plate. Love the pink on purple and the mauve (purple?) square!

Your lace looks great around the Dresden plate; I've never seen one finished like that. It's extra special that you made the lace! How big is this quilt going to be when finished? Looks like you're making good progress. What's your winter-warmer? A vest? Looks nice whatever it is!

All I see is happy! Happy! Your work is coming along nicely. Your patches sang out "pockets" to me (not sure where that came from). A Dresden plate is definitely on my "to do" list. Love your variety.

It does look like you're having fun. I also have never seen lace around a Dresden plate block: It's a very nice touch, and extra-special that you made the lace.

Thanks Susan. It is a bobble stitch on the purple square. I like the texture of bobbles.

Thanks Angela. I have slightly "Cyra-ized" the traditional Dresden plate, lol.

Oh poor Suz. Dont you just hate it when your words get lost in cyberspace.

Thank you Judy. I'm not sure of the finished size for the quilt. I'll just keep stitching patches onto it until it tells me to stop.
The WW could be a vest, or it may be a blanket, or even a sweater ;)

Thanks Fitzy. Variety is the spice of life.

Thank you Barbara. I thought the lace would help to 'frame' my mothers Dresden plate nicely.
