Judy~Finally Stitchin'

Finally I've had time to pick up my embroidery needle!  It was put down before the holidays when I'd completed the first two designs of Willowberry's Verandah Views.  (Just yesterday I learned she's retired.)

One
Two

Here's a snippet from Three which is done, but I'm saving the rest till the end of the month.

And here is a teaser from Four which is almost done.  I'm on a roll!  Finally!

PS Check out my blog to see our Surprise Snow~~~

These are looking great! At least you are doing them. They are still in the saved pile for me, if not in the lost-forever pile. Your stitching is always so nice. I'll bet it feels good to get back to "needling" fabric.

Love the dove splashing water from the birdbath, lol. This will be a lovely collection when complete. Can't wait to see the rest.

How can you stitch such little designs? (so well?)

Did you know she had retired? It made me sad to think she's not designing any more.

They are going to be a quilt..... we'll see how that goes. LOL

They have been fun to do.

Gosh, I guess I never thought about them being little. I sure notice though that my stitching does not improve with time off......

Thanks!

Yea, it's a skill that needs to be practiced to stay fluent.

Way back in the day of hand quilting, some one suggested a little trial cloth before starting on the regular quilt so a person could get up to speed quickly (and consistently).

These designs always remind me of the pillow cases my mother embroidered when I was a young child. They are sweet, look wonderful, and bring back fond memories.

Very nice designs, Isn't it funny how it takes awhile to get back to our projects after the holidays?

We had the GK with us for 10 days and then left for 10 days, and then I decided to go through my yarn stash. Yikes! Yes, it did take a while, but it sure feels good to be stitching again. On to the UFOs, right?

Aw, sure you can......

Thanks, now if only I can keep it up. LOL

And I have one even from our TAST days. I find it interesting, too, how I rarely use any of that fancy stuff we did, but rather stick with the tried and true. How about you?

Sadly, I haven't picked up a needle yet this year. I have my favorites too & some do include what I learned from the TAST.
