Susan: Quilting Blocks

Some stitching went on here, but nothing I can show yet, so here are a couple of blocks I did this week:

For Moira's 2004 BOM, from donated fabrics, last one that will make an American Hero Quilt is this Water Wheel block.

And from Moira's 2014 BOM, block two, also from fabrics donated and from some Secret Santa fabrics, also going to be donated to American Heroes for a child of a hero.

That's mostly it for this week!

The 4 patch is such a handy little block. Along with the 9 patch, it has to be the workhorse of the patchwork world!

Love how those two turned out. =)

Both blocks are great, but I really like how block 2 turned out...like a fabric whirly-girly. Lots of movement, and the turtle fabric is so cute!

Ahhhh, eye-candy. You know I love turquoise, love that block. Great design too. Block two will be great for a child. Nice and bright.

Both are gorgeous but I really love the water wheel.

Thank you for your intentions for your quilts...from a mom of 2 soldiers!

The water wheel block is quite interesting, I've not see that one before.

Thanks so much for your positive thoughts about the blocks. They are each part of a BOM by Moira, and I went really wild with the orange and yellow one. There's another one with frogs and turquoise and wild dots. I'm just having fun with that one. There are now 12 in the set of the first one, all turquoise/teal/blue with light to dark beige backgrounds. Fitzy, I make almost everything I do for soldiers. =)
