Angela ~ Journey Through Time Quilt Top Halfway Done!

I just over halfway done with the Journey Through Time quilt top.
Sorry the picture is not so great, I don't really have a place to hang it where it can be seen entirely.  If I had hung it on the sunny side of this fencing the wind would have blown it away.  It's very windy out here in North Central Texas.
I darkened the photo so you can more easily see the pattern.  The block of 3 light colored squares in the center 4 rows from the bottom is the center area.
And for fun here's a small bedside lamp project.  I filled it with vintage thread spools from my collection.

You'll be starting the hand quilting by mid-February--that's my prediction! Great to see your vision come alive.

Wow, it's growing very quickly. Looks great, too. Love the lamp!

Halfway - sheesh! No stopping this gal once she gets the plan right.
Fabulous idea for a fun lamp Angela. Adapting your idea a bit, I'm thinking I could store my vintage spools in a glass vase in full view.

Love the lamp. I can't believe how quickly you are stitching this by hand! Congratulations on sticking with it steadily. I really like the design.

I put more spools and other small vintage sewing things in antique canning jars. Now I need something slightly larger for the rest that won't fit into a canning jar.

If nothing stops me you may be right. Since I have no job and am sitting with Mom most all day and evening there's not much else to do. She's done well with the shoulder surgery but can't get up out of her chair by herself and needs a bit of a hand in the bathroom. I'm cook & dishwasher too for a while. ---I think I need a job! LOL.

You've made great progress on this top! I'm envious of your t-i-m-e!

The lamp is adorable. Somewhere around here I have the electrical hook-up to use in a mason jar, you've hit a great idea.

Good you are there for her; I thought that was what you wanted.

You've made wonderful progress with the quilt. My focus needs to be like yours! Love what you did with the lamp. I may have to look out for old thread spools so that i can do something similar. =)

I'm glad to be here for Mom too, I just have to have something to keep me busy with my hands...I can only take so much of TV watching.
