Angela ~ Journey Through Time Quilt, last rows

This is a photo of the last 13 rows for the Journey Through Time quilt.
Since I took this photo earlier today I have ironed them and they are ready to add to the quilt.  I will have that done by the week's end I'm sure.

Then I will need to decide if it needs a border or just sashing around the edge and I will start adding the names of my female ancestors to the off white squares.

Really impressive, Angela! I can't believe you have already hand pieced this quilt top. You DaBomb!

Saw your photo from last week, and wow! That is going to be a fabulous quilt, Angela. You are fast, too!

I'm not really fast, it's just I have nothing else to do while Mom is watching TV which is pretty much all the time. I spend about half the day off & on and evenings from 6ish to 10-11pm in the house with her in case she needs help getting up or other stuff. She's one armed after her surgery but doing very well.

I'm so in awe of how quickly you have hand-pieced all these rows! I know you said you are spending a lot of time doing it, but it still seems to be moving along quickly. I'm glad your mom is doing well.

Love your little bundles all ready and waiting......Your quilt is going to be a knockout! I think, Angela, that you must hand-stitch faster than I can machine stitch!

Your planning and organisation skills are second to none. I can relate to being one armed. I remember it well and how frustrating it was. I was so annoyed with myself for having to ask for help with mundane things like peeling potatoes etc.
I never got my arms back to 100% again though, so I sure hope your mum has a better recovery than I did.

Hard to say, She goes Friday to the Dr that did the surgery, her shoulder looks great and she does therapy 3 times a week. We are hoping the stiff sling goes away on Friday, the metal pieces can really dig in.

I get more organized the older I get, maybe I'm getting OCD instead of Alzheimer's. But in my 10 x 12 room I have to be very organized.
