Bringing Up the Rear!

Time out from preparations for tomorrow's Thanksgiving dinner to do a quick post.  This has been another crazy week with choir practice last night instead of the usual Thursday and an unexpected trip to Magnolia to help with this little lady and her big brother who wouldn't stay still long enough for a photo of him and his hat. (It was too late after choir to post, so sorry for my tardiness!)

Having finished two more hats for the Illinois clan, I am on the home stretch with that request and might  be able to get back to some other Christmas projects.  And maybe even some stitching.

The braid on the bottom of this pattern caught my eye and was fun to do.  Because the yarn wasn't as bulky as the pattern requires I used a 4X4 ribbing up the hat instead of 2X2.

For now though, gotta get back to the stove and then iron a tablecloth.  For those of you celebrating, Happy Thanksgiving, and to the rest, have a great week!

Love the braiding on the bottom hat. Unusual.
Happy Holidays to you too Judy. Hope you have a great family time.

That "braid" is really just doing the carry overs, that are usually on the back , in an organized way. Someone's very clever idea! And not very hard either.
