Cy ~ Crochet Galore and more

Yet another week has rushed by and I don't think I've achieved much at all.
My sewing machine has been packed away for about a month, and I'm starting to think that maybe I should get it out again.
I have an abundance of ideas for things that I want to make on the machine..... I'm in a quandary... do I get the machine out and start more projects, or do I do more work on the ufo's?

During the week I have been crocheting. I seem to 'flit' between projects like a little bird (maybe its that little bird that I drew last week).

This belt is finished and will be going in my Etsy shop later today.
I love the filigree buckle.

And another crochet project that is a WIP, here is the start of a very free-form Shoulder Wrap or scarf. Mostly in shades of white and cream, with a hint of gold/yellows.

Just for inspiration, the following pic is something my mother made in 2001.
She signed and dated the back (good job mum).
It is all wool, and stitched in a straight stitch.
The RUG measures 0.62m x 1m (24" x 40")

Does anyone like digital art?
I do.
On my blog later in the week I'll be sharing a couple that I have created recently.

That's all for now.

Happy Stitching

Have been over to your etsy shop! Please let me know when the shawl or bolero is going to be listed. I want first dibs.

Looks to me you have been busy! And I really need to learn to crochet in all the free time I have.....not.
Your Mum's rug is gorgeous!

Okay will do. Bolero is quite a while away from being finished. The woolly white warmer shawl will be there first I think. I'll let you know.

I don't know why it's called "Free Time" because I have to work very hard to find it too, so I think it should be called "Well Earned Time".

I totally get you about feeling like a bird flitting between projects. I've decided that it's okay, since needlework must be fun.

Amazing how many UFOs I've accumulated while flitting! Nice belt! And you know I love your free form crochet. Your mum's rug is beautiful. I hope you don't let anyone walk on it!

I look forward to seeing how the free form piece turns out. I do NOT visualize well. =) You did a lot, it looks like to me.

Can never have enough projects to keep my flitty-self busy lol.

Thanks Judy. Luckily, mum had the forethought to add a hanging sleeve to the back. So when it isn't being used as a showpiece over my large piano stool it doubles as a wallhanging.

I think after keeping our nose to the grindstone last year with TAST, it's been tough to get back that discipline.

Next year is approaching. What will we do??

Its like working a puzzle to find which piece fits where. Great fun.
