Deborah: I got nothing

Well ladies, another week of wheel spinning, rain, yard work, rain, housework,  and more rain.

I did work a little on the applique UFO but nothing interesting enough to post pictures.

This week will be better.

Summer and the garden beckons here, too!

Finally got the DH interested in working on back yard projects - had to strike while the iron was hot.

I wish I had the energy to attack the yard work, the heat & humidity saps it out of me.

WE have had a very unusual summer here in Georgia. It has rained quite a lot and the temps have been in the 70's and 80's. I dn't think we've seen 90 degrees yet. I'm 63 and I don't remember a summer like this. Because of the rain, the ground is very soft & easy to dig, unlike the usual baked red clay we usually encounter in July. So I've been taking advantage of this good luck and getting some long overdue yard work done. Next year we could be in the high 90's with no rain for months. The down side is, I was planning on staining my deck but not with the constant threat of rain; besides, it won't stop raining long enough for the wood to get dry enough to paint! But I'm not complaining about that!

You'll cycle back around to some sewing because you won't be able to keep the pace going on yardwork. I'm speaking from experience! Ha! hA!!

I'd like to see some of your spinning! Or were you being creative with the term "wheel spinning?" =)

Ah well. We'll just have to bide our time till stitching time comes around again.
