Angela ~ Nicholas Update

Nicholas is coming together nicely.  When I am working on it I can't see the design, it's too close.  But I am amazed every time I back off and look.
What appears as a muddle of random stitches up close becomes 3 oranges on a plate with fingers curved  around the edge when you hold it away.

I've posted a bit of his early life's legend on my blog if anyone is interested.

The oranges are nicely finished, Angela.
I know how slow progress can be on x-stitching, especially such a detailed design. Looking good!

What patience! Slow going but so worth it!

Going to be a real masterpiece. My eyes are twitching, though, just looking at those tiny stitches!

It seems to be moving along pretty quickly! Much more quickly than if I were doing it. =)

I'm really trying to get this corner completed because I still have a halo to do and I want to make it bigger than the one in the pattern.

Trust me, my eyes sometimes twitch if I have been at it too long.

This is just gorgeous. Very detailed work, I'm sure, but the results are stunning.

Your X Stitching looks great! I know what a slow process this is but it will be worth it. Is this for you or a gift for someone? It will be a masterpiece for sure. Don't forget to rest those eyes while working. :>)

It's for me, I have a collection of Bishop Nicholas figurines and this will hang behind it.

"Slow but sure, wins the race" said the tortoise to the hare.

It's great how every week just a little bit more is revealed of the picture.

p.s. Angela, you may want to change the link address in the post above. It's non-accessible for us clicking on it. Luckily I have your blog in my bookmarks so I went to see you that way.
