Debra: Tatting-Lesson 1

Those are not picots but spaces where my stitches were not equally tight.  (maybe that is a picot?)  I used a pretty thick crochet cotton (about like string)--some miscellaneous stuff in the drawer-centuries old.

I'm ready for Lesson 2, Suz!

I am interested to know what comes next.

What comes next, Munir, is learning the second half of the double stitch. I hope to do that update later this week to post next Sunday. This way, people have an opportunity to become familiar with and practice the parts of the ds before putting them together, and then moving on to different techniques. Thank you.
Hugs

Looks pretty good, Debra. Your chain didn't twist. Did you straighten and hold the stitches so they wouldn't twist? And yes, picots are thread spaces--but that's a different lesson! (You are not supposed to jump ahead! knotty knotty, (yes, groan, I know, but you asked for it!)..lol)
Keep practicing and try it with a lighter thread to feel how it moves. Try keeping your d's closer together, too. I hope to do the next part this week to post next Sunday.

Yes Ma'am! I'm going out to the porch right now with my supplies to try some other threads.
