As Requested

Several of you asked how the Christmas blocks would be sashed.  Here are three finished ones, and four others are waiting for me to get my act together.

This week's word is "magic,"  and I got a good start on it this afternoon.  Only one more after this one! How about that?

I thought you might enjoy seeing the special quilt we made for one of our members who's having a rough go at the moment.  She fractured her pubic bone when she fell on black ice, and then a few weeks later was diagnosed with breast cancer.  She surprised us all last Friday by appearing unexpectedly at our meeting, but we were ready.  And she was thrilled!

Can you guess which two hearts are mine?

I'm guessing the 2 with the blue CQ --1st row and 4th rows. I really like the hearts as flowers with the stems (2nd row).

Your Christmas blocks are looking wonderful! And that quilt is such a lovely gift.

Bingo! The one you really like was done by someone who used to teach quilting (and English).

The blocks are looking good and you are almost finished! I guessed the two most embellished crazy hearts, and looks like, from your response to Debra, that's right. What a beautiful quilt you all made for her! I hope her treatment is effective, and the quilt brings her great comfort during chemo or whatever they are doing.

Your Christmas words look great with that sashing Judy. Sounds like the finish line is in sight for it too, wow, well done.
The hearts quilt for your quilting friend is gorgeous. I bet it brought a big smile to her face.
