Judy--UFO #1

Now that we're back home, thawed out and rested up, I can get back to work on this Gail Pan Christmas quilt that I started quite awhile ago.  I only have 3 blocks to finish embroidering and then 6 to sash.  There are nine blocks altogether, and this one is farther along than when it was photographed.  The rest of this week is pretty crazy with choir rehearsals and church services, so Christmas may have to take a backseat for Easter.  See you next week!  Happy Stitching!

From the looks of it, people will be wearing overcoats with their Easter clothes.

Well, I'm still wearing a winter coat...moan, moan, grumble....lol
Happy stitching to you, too, Judy. You've caught my attention with that little peek....

This is a lovely project Judy. I expect you are having a busy time in the choir at the moment.

I love word 'delight', perfect for a Christmas theme.
I agree on the cold weather, last week it was 80, now it's down to freezing at night again.

I loved that pattern and saved it. What fabric are you using around the blocks? Your back stitching is so even and beautiful. Best of luck singing on Sunday. Is this another broadcast one? My schedule this year is 1-4, so I can probably get your service!

All of the words are really nice; I think that's what attracted me to this project. Wow, those huge swings in temperatures are hard to take; just ask any plant!

I'm using red and green around them and will try to remember a photo for next week. Yes, all services will be streamed PDT: 8, 9:30 and 11:11 on Sunday, and also on Friday night at 7:30PM. We'll be singing movements from Brahms' German Requiem in English.

It seems to be warming up here, but no promises for sunshine. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

Blogger doesn't like me any more. :-) Tried to say, we had snow flurries early yesterday. Never made it to 40 degrees.

Im only just catching up with you all and wonder what I've missed - Gail Pan? Design or Designer?

Judy S. said...

She is a designer, Australian, I think.

Ick! This has been a crazy spring so far, hasn't it? The forecast here, though, for Easter weekend is sunny and warm which is most unusual. We'll see!
