Angela~ Buttonhole Wheel Cups & Finished Pages

I was on vacation last week so here's my finished embroidery journal page for week 42 of TAST.
On to week 43 and the buttonhole wheel cups.  These were fun to do and I used them on the Great Karnak's headdress where the ostrich plumes are at.
The white perle cotton on a white background is kind of hard to see so here's a darkened closeup.
My other stitches on this page were stem stitch, wrapped backstitch, satin stitch and french knot.

I spent many a night watching Johnny Carson and no one can hold a candle to him as a talk show host.

He was the best!

Your journal is going to be a real slice of Americana when you are done. A treasure, for sure.

These are so very good, but I think the hair has it! Love all the texture, could be used for a lace effect, great.

Wow, you sure made a lot of these BWCs! And used them well also. Another fun tidbit of info, thanks!

Oh my gosh! That's the perfect stitch for his turban. What a great addition to the collection!

Johnny Carson hosted The Tonight Show for years, a late night talk show. He was also a great comedy writer and nearly every show had a skit of some sort. This character is 'The Great Karnak' in which he would hold an envelope to his forehead and give an answer to a question which was in side the envelope. It was usually a joke poked at a political figure or a celebrity.
