Judy ~ Pistil Stitch ~ TAST

Back in the saddle again with SBS and the Pistil Stitch. Block #9~ Hurrah! It's kind of fun to do the pistil stitch in one fell swoop instead of doing a separate french knot and a straight stitch, isn't it? It worked perfectly on Sue's sleeve. (Sorry about the shadows.....)

Oh, the perfect place for it. How cute she's going to be, I can tell already!

I had visions of little pistil flowers dancing across the bottom of her frock. This is another splendid placement. Good thing her dress isn't sleeveless!

A beautiful sleeve. What's Sue up to this month?

Sue with a sleeveless dress oh no, she's far too demure. Pretty pistils in a beautiful variegated thread.

Ah, nicely done.

Exercising!

Actually it's two different threads. Her dress is supposedly cranberry-colored, but I'd say rose, maybe?

Unfortunately, I think her mom had only one dress pattern?

Thanks!

Thanks. Good thing she always has sleeves!

ha! Ha! and a good one at that!

I didn't post it here (obviously) but I recently saw an article about Sue mistakes where the quilter tried to alter Sue's body or dress. The results were less than spectacular! Sometimes it's just good to stay with what works!

in a dress? I thought I was the only one that did that! LOL!
Are you going to make athletic shoes???

Hmmm...now there's a thought I'll have to think on.

A very pretty detail. You've got a great eye for making these stitches work on your project.

I have to agree with Barbara, you do a wonderful job adapting each week's stitch to your blocks. Again, this is a perfect application.

Don't know how perfect the stitching, but I sure am glad Sue has sleeves!

Another great sleeve gathering. Love your neat stem stitches too.
One project I was meant to be stitching this month is a Sue block. The pattern I have has a five-patch skirt for Sue, but with my trying desperately to catch up with my 'normal' CQJP block this month, I haven't got 'around-tuit" yet.
