Carolynn--Drizzle stitch

Very little stitching this week--just some practice with the drizzle stitch. Please note:  I got the idea and worked out my little face with drizzle hair before Sharon posted her "best" results post! Mine isn't as cute as the one she posted, but it's the same idea!  Also--working so many drizzles really helped me get the hang of the stitch! It was very awkward to accomplish at first, but by the last few curls, I had the technique down! I used variegated rayon floss.

Great minds think alike! Love the color variation and the sheen of the thread.

I learned a long time ago to live with my hair naturally. It's straight as a string. I did, however, persuade my former husband to let me give him a perm (back in the '70s) and he looked like a white boy with a 'fro!

Love the rayon thread! It really makes the hair glisten! Good idea. I love the drizzle!

Lovely effect with the drizzle stitch on this happy little face Carolynn. Love the shiny rayon too. It seems to have more of a twist than other threads, which is good when you want a curl or two.

My mum used to perm my hair like this too, lol, at my request I might add. I have almost jet black hair (think Celtic/Welsh colouring here) and the 'fro perm was perfect for it. Fun days, yeah!

I do believe that's the perfect stitch for rayon thread! I don't really enjoy using rayon, but it looks perfect as hair on your cute little person.

What a brilliant use for this stitch, it looks exactly like curly hair.

I love your little face with drizzle hair! So cute! I really like the variegated color you used, and the shine of the rayon.

I had a perm like that in the early '80s. It was NOT my choice! I asked for a "soft body" "large wave" perm, and they gave me a fro. It was the first, last, and ONLY perm I will ever have. It was a DISASTER! I looked like a flippin country western singer. I HATE looking like celebrities! I am ME, durnit! I do not need to be someone's wannabe clone! ack.

hmm. unresolved tension there, no?
