Judy ~ TAST Up and Down Buttonhole Stitch

Sue's hatband was a good spot for the up and down buttonhole stitch, don't you think? Since Sharon's description said that it would work well on curves, I also used it on the flowers although it's hard to tell. I alternated with a "normal" buttonhole stitch and instead of making the up and down part straight, joined the "legs" at the top. Instead of turning out like a triangle, it just looks like a bit heavier version of the regular buttonhole stitch. Oh well, I did the up/down part, honest! Don't know about you, but I hope the next stitch is different from the last two. I've run out of hat bands and sleeve edges!

Judy it's lovely to hear from someone, everything is so quiet! Sue will have to change her dress designer! Up and down B works so well on Sue's hatband and the flowers look very pretty, quite like the idea of using the stitch for flowers, thanks.

Excellent hatband and flowers, this stitch was perfect for it.
And Judy, yes it has been very quiet, guess we need our Debra to keep things lively!

It's a great hatband! Love the little flowers on the end of it. You're a good milliner!

My post was scheduled to go up 3 hours ago, but I had edited it and didn't realize that meant I had to schedule it all over again, so it was in drafts!

Checking in off the back porch---quiet & ruggedly handsome here in Montana. Been stitching lots of bonnet stitch

I'm not sure, but I think you just have to rehit publish when you edit, unless it was past your post time, then you'd have to do whatever you did.

Lovely band on Sue's hat Judy. Good job Sue can't go without her hat, lol.
I like the French Knots in the band too.
Roll on new stitch for Tuesday.

Sounds wonderful! Where in Montana are you? It's not all that far away from here, depending on where you are. Aren't the blue skies great?

I was at Rock Creek Ranch in Deer Lodge abut an hour from Butte, Montana. It was really pretty--I hope some new CQ or patchwork develops from my stock of pictures.

Your use of this stitch along with French knots on the hatband gives it such a nice scalloped look. Adding the flower stitching makes it even more feminine.
