Judy ~ Hanging on Barely ~ Oyster Stitch TAST

Another week has vanished without much stitching. The oyster stitch and I didn't get along real well either, but Sue's sleeve now abounds with them. Debra was right when she said it needs a thicker thread, but it didn't look good with a whole strand of DMC, so I used my usual. (My niece is in the hospital with pregnancy complications and our little grandson has lyme disease...just couldn't concentrate.) Hopefully next week will be better!

Prayers for your family.
I like your oyster stitches, very nice decoration for Sue's sleeve.

Thanks, Angela. Our niece will be induced next Friday, and Daniel is on a 3 week course of antibiotics and slowly feeling better, thankfully.

Pleased you have some good news. It's so very hard to concentrate on anything when one is so worried. You did a good job with the Oyster Stitch and Sue has a very pretty sleeve.

I think the stitches you have added gives the sleeve a very nice pattern. It is amazing how you continually find the perfect fit for the stitches.

You and your family have my prays for a speedy recovery and positive outcomes.

I think Sue's sleeve looks pretty in oysters!
Hoping all goes well with the induction and the antibiotics. Sending prayers and hugs your way.

Thanks everyone for your concern. Our niece isn't due till mid-Sept., so this baby (a girl) is early. The doc has been positive though about the outcome, and we're all hoping that is correct.

Judy, I'm sorry to hear about the health complications, and I can see how they'd definitely be distracting. Sue's sleeve looks great, though!

Another pretty element to Sue's dress. I like your use of oyster stitches and mixed in a few French knots too.
Hope all your family recover soon. Sending love and hugs your way.
