Judy ~ Bonnet Stitch and Sue's Wardrobe

Thank goodness Sue has sleeves that are just waiting to be decorated! The Bonnet stitch worked perfectly on the curve of it.

Last week Debra asked us to post all of our stitching thus far, so here is Sue in 6 different outfits, enjoying her stressful life.  For the rest of this project, I plan to continue in the same fashion, using each week's new stitch as best I can to embellish each month's block. The challenge is kind of fun.  In the end I hope to put all 12 blocks together as a quilt.  We'll see!  It's been very inspiring to see the wonderful stitching of this group.  Additionally, I hope to get around to doing a bit of crazy quilting and finishing some of the many cross stitch projects that are languishing in my stash along with countless balls of yarn and fabric. Oh, if only there were more hours in a day!

An impressive lot of blocks! When Sue is not busy tending her weedless garden, she could be America's Next Top Model.

Super project, Judy! Love it!

That's a perfect use for this stitch! How about the next Miss Country Girl? She's wearing too many clothes for the Next Top Model.

Sharon must have known you'd like a curvy stitch for the sleeves and Bonnet Stitch makes a pretty edging. Sue's becoming quite the celebrity. It's great seeing all your blocks together, Sue's such a poser wearing her Sunday best for gardening. I like all of your blocks, but perhaps if I had to choose, Sue sitting down would get my vote.

The bonnet stitch on Sue's sleeve makes it look as though the fabric is gathered for a puffy sleeve. It works quite well!

But she won't get wrinkles...

Ambitious woman! =) Your sleeve looks good - or Sue's does, anyway. The blocks are great together. I love seeing them together; the whole garden idea comes through then.

Enjoyed seeing your blocks all together. They (the Sues) look adorable. The sleeve is the perfect place for the bonnet stitch.

I agree with Suz, the bonnet stitch looks like gathers in the sleeve--very clever. All your Sues look impressive together. Maybe they want to be set with some alternating pieced quilt blocks?

Great Bonnet stitch, or maybe we should call it Sleeve stitch here.
Lovely to see all the blocks together. Have you decided on how you are going to set all 12 blocks in the quilt?

Yes, and then Judy can stretch this into a 2 year project!! *wink*

With my procrastination gene, I'll bet I could make it last even longer than that....... :)
