Susan: June CQJP & TAST & V-Stitch

So, all inclusive post here. I made a little progress, but can't believe the month is half over and I'm barely started on this block! Part of that I am blaming on canning tomatoes and making sourdough cookies and coffee cake. Part of it I'm blaming on new car buying. The rest is just life stuff.

The buttonhole wheel, some V-stitch with cretan and straight stitches, and some chain stitched arches:

Here's more of the butterfly - just a little stitching for color, so far.

And, just for fun, can you find my first cherry tomato almost ripe in this forest of plant?

I spied the cherry! Has it been eaten yet?
Nice butterfly, and I like your arches. A nice variety of stitches on and around the plaid.

Who wants to stitch when there are cookies and coffee cake on the menu? You've obviously made those cakes to display on Connie's cake/ dessert stand. Oh, BTW great reveal, looking forward to seeing your butterfly with further embellishments.

Nice V stitch explorations! I love fabrics that can be automatic guides.

Love that butterfly. Nice wheels too. And I assume the other new wheels are good too?

Party at my place!

You have a lot going on. Beautiful butterfly, very delicate. The added color helps it stand out a bit more. Your chain arches reflect the curves in your buttonhole wheels nicely. What time can you have the food here?

Nice variety of stitches going on this block Susan, and I love your butterfly of course.
Is the gingham piece a ribbon? Lovely V stitch design too. Such fun.

Nice chain stitch arches. I can't believe you had time to stitch at all with all those other activities. If I make jam, everything else comes to a screeching halt around here.

I see one nearly ripe tomato, and at least three green ones! (there might be a fourth green one, but it could be just a leaf-- can't tell from the photo). You have tomatoes already? I am so jealous! It's been really cold and wet here so far this May and June, so maybe my tomato plants are just slow getting started.
I love how your addition of color makes the butterfly lace look so much livelier! I'm also a fan of the chain-stitch arches. I like the short-tall alternation.

It wasn't quite ripe until this morning. I ate it warm from the sun. =) There are 3 more almost ripe, and over a dozen green ones. Yum, yum, yum!

I'm game! I'm trying muffins this week. =)

Blueberry, please.

The car is working great, thanks! It's still really big, though - hasn't shrunk down at all. LOL

The gingham is ribbon. It came in a swap one time, and I discovered it when I was doing this block. Seemed perfect!

Thanks to all of you for your sweet positive reinforcement. =)

Oh, sadly, that's the one berry I don't like. However, there will probably be cranberries. Maybe dates, too.
