Not the greatest picture as it was taken with my phone.  The shutter button on my camera isn't working and I understandit costs about $200 to fix it. I probably will just buy one of the new Nikon Cool Pix instead of getting it fixed. I wanted a digital SLR camera so badly but the lenses are terribly expensive.

Anyway, on the right is my cable chain stitch. That motif is supposed to look like a basket of flowers but could be an ice cream cone. Either one works!

Not bad for a phone photo, your stitching is lovely. How about a rose flavored ice cream cone?

I have been thinking of ice cream all day. I have to resist because I have NO self control.

It doesn't really look like ice cream to me, but ice cream sounds really good with the high temps and humidity we are experiencing right now. Unfortunately our freezer went out so hence no ice cream :-(

The arches/curves created with the cable chain look really nice. I like the texture created with your combination of stitches in the "ice cream" section.

Your French Knot flower spray is lovely and the Cable Chain looks great as a frame for your flower basket and the central patch embroidery. May well have to borrow this Deborah as a new way of framing patches. I also like the daisy circle with it's little bullion and detached chin flower have you used Fly Stitch?

Using the Cable Chain for a basket handle is a really good idea. Such a pretty and feminine block!

I like your Cable Chain swags around that buttonhole flower motif. A very creative use for the stitch. And I always love French Knot clusters. Yours are fab. This is going to be a beautiful block.

I really like your cable chain framing the flower spray. I wasn't thinking of ice cream, but since someone mentioned it, I'd say that looks like a fancy waffle cone dipped into sprinkles, holding some cherry vanilla swirl ice cream, topped off with some creme de menthe........YUM!

Speaking of naughty food, I thought someone was making muffins this week.

I did. Banana raisin bran muffins. I'm told they were tasty. And I made chocolate cake(gluten free) yummy!

Thanks, will be sampling the banana raisin and bran with my breakfast.

We were getting some gelato the other day and one of the flavors was rose. How'd you know that? I really like that feather stitch and french knot spray! Very pretty.

I like how your chain stitch forms arches. They're nice frames for your central motif.

I love what you did. The whole block is so pretty and elegant looking. Are the other arches going to be the same stitch or are you going to experiment with something else?

I put them in to get an idea of how it would look to repeat the arches around the center piece. Still not sure, what do you think?
