Deborah: TAST - Buttonhole Wheel and May Block

I have several examples of the buttonhole wheel, which I really like since it's easy!

I can still see possibilities for embellishment but they will have to wait since I really have to get going on Block 6. You can see the entire May Block on my blog,

Very nice, Deborah. I especially like the first photo's stitching.

Lots of pretty samples of buttonhole wheels. Until I took a closer look I thought the bottom photo on white fabric was done in purple and turquoise which is a color combo I really like. I still really like the little flowers with the purple buttonhole arching over them.

Your wheels are wonderful, I'm partial to the ones with button centers. The butterfly is pretty too!

Great buttonhole wheels and I especially like the BHW with tiny flowers. Your block is looking so pretty.

All your seams look great, but I also like the last one with the little flowers the best. Very pretty work.

Oh my. Lots of eye candy here. Great half buttonhole wheels in the first photo, and I love the V stitches in the row next to it.
That's a beautiful butterfly in the second photo, it looks 3D, and I like the wavy BHW on the 3rd photo.
Your May block is stunning. I particularly like the red roses around the later photo of your mother.

I really like how you created a built-up seam to the left of your buttonhole wheels, used the buttonhole wheels in the center of a patch rather than just on a seamline, and made those adorable little flowers in the center of your blanket stitch serpentine line! Your French knot trailing vine is also gorgeous! I'm so glad I was able to zoom in on the picture! the detail is really rewarding. Great photo. I'm a great fan of layering stitchwork over print fabrics, so this block really appeals to me in that regard too.

Thanks to all for your nice comments. I still see some open spaces that need to be filled.... ;-)

I loved looking at every little stitch you did. You were so creative everywhere!
